  2. Ah yes, not only am I becoming increasingly hard of hearing[*], but my eyes are starting to lose their acuity as well.

    [*] A friend recently sat down at my lunch table and announced, “I’m gonna miss you.” and looked at me searchingly. I spent about 30 seconds speechless until I realised that he had actually said, “I’ve got an issue…” and wanted advice.
