  1. Hey there. I got the impression that you thought that I was trolling your post over in lj_biz. I am sorry if I offended you. I think that it was a nice thought, and I guess that I don’t completely understand the business model. I must admit that I’ve never heard of these famous writers and it doesn’t really interest me in the slightest. To me LiveJournal is a way to talk about my day, and to talk to people with similar interests. In saying that, however, you are probably right that it would probably attract some people more than others. Some people come here for something interesting to read, others come because of the community atmosphere.

I get sick of there being teenagers on here with all of their silly stuff. Ever since the Nonuglies phenomenon, and then things like serial adders and trolling journals, the quality of being here has been much worse, and I guess if you get down to it, that comes down to teenagers. Having more serious journals would be good. I just don’t see it happening, I am afraid.

I think that Brad was either 19 or 20 when he first started this, wasn’t he? They didn’t have any age restrictions then, and there were a lot of 9 and 10 year olds with journals. In my opinion (and you can disagree here if you like), that set the trend. Its hard to suddenly go from having an average age of 17 to having an average age of say 25. And at 17, there’s still a lot of immaturity.

Anyway, I really am sorry if I offended you, as that wasn’t my intention. I hope that that has cleared things up a bit. Maybe I said the wrong things.
