Fun, practical and safe -- a great city and highway car with a bit of
sportiness when you want it!  Hatchback easily swallows strollers, IKEA
boxes and more. Great visibility and easy parallel parking.

Bought used from Saab dealer in 2001. This car's served me well through
many an Ottawa winter, but in Toronto I don't need a car. Help me 
go car-free!

Certifiable and e-testable as of Sept 2009 (my mechanic tested both
w/o paperwork)

$4000 certified or $3700 as-is

Amenities include:

- Heated seats and mirrors
- Ice-cold A/C 
- Cruise control
- CD stereo with weather radio, steering wheel controls
- Remote entry and alarm
- Front and rear foglights

Two sets of tires:

- Summer tires: Falken ZE-912 on original Saab alloy rims,
  bought May 2008, driven less than 3000 km 

- Winter tires: Goodyear Nordic on steel rims, driven about 5000 km
  highway, with storage bags

Powertrain:

- 2.0L 4cyl Ecopower turbo
  - 185 HP @ 5000 RPM, 209 lb-ft torque @ 2300 RPM
  - est. 20 MPG city, 25 highway

- 4-speed automatic 
  - with sport mode (goes to redline)
  - and winter mode (locks out 1st and 2nd to avoid wheelspin)

Recent maintenance:

- New A/C compressor, receiver dryer, serpentine belt June 2008
- New battery, Jan 2009
- Power steering hoses summer 2008
- Front rotors and pads, Jan 2008
- Water pump June 2007
- Torque convertor replaced Sept 2006

Certifiable and e-testable (had my mechanic test both w/o the paperwork)

Outstanding repairs:

- Trip computer aka "SID": Needs repair or replacement for faulty
  LCD; happens to all of them, fix is $100-$200 on eBay. I'd have 
  done this myself except the warranty on the refurbs isn't
  transferrable.
- Needs new power antenna mast
- Some exhaust rust noticed during inspection
