Beaver Tails rock. They’re these little flat doughy cakes, fried and then dusted with sugar and cinnamon, or with maple syrup on them, and so on. They’re really good when you’re out skating on the canal here in winter, and need to warm up. Like a lot of Canadian food (cf. poutine, sugar pie) having more than one a two a year will put you off, but that one or two is SO GOOD. Some of the flavours, like apple pie or chocolate hazelnut are a little much for me, but I can see where they’re coming from, so it’s stikk OK.
But then I saw this, And this is just wrong.
And finally, this.
